BukSU Pushes Forward Green Campus Plan with Final ECC Meeting

Bukidnon State University (BukSU) is closer towards its goal of becoming a Green University with the successful conduct of the Final Meeting on its proposed Campuses Project, held on September 10, 2025, at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel.

This project covered the Main Campus, EduHub, and Techno Hub in Barangay 3 and Barangay Casisang, Malaybalay City.

Present at the meeting were members of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Review Committee, officials from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Region X – Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), and personnel from BukSU.

“The activity marked a crucial point in the EIA process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and advancing the University’s pursuit of sustainable, eco-friendly campus development,” BukSU Office of the President shared.

With only minor revisions recommended during the review, BukSU is set to move forward confidently, further demonstrating its commitment to designing future-ready learning spaces grounded in environmental responsibility.

This milestone follows a series of technical reviews, after the completion of the 1st Technical Review Workshop, Public Hearing, and Site Assessment as part of the EIA process, including the EIS Development Technical Review Workshop held last July 4, 2025, also in Cagayan de Oro City.
