It acknowledges the immense economic potential of marine resources while stressing the need to protect and preserve marine ecosystems for future generations. This concept covers a wide range of sectors, including fisheries, aquaculture, coastal tourism, marine biotechnology, and renewable energy, all of which depend on the health and vitality of marine ecosystems.
