BukSU Names 10 Students as Campus Ambassadors

Bukidnon State University (BukSU) has launched its Student Ambassador Program and introduced 10 students selected to serve as ambassadors.

The program aims to strengthen the university’s branding and promotional efforts by engaging student leaders in key events and materials.

“These student leaders are more than just representatives—they are communicators, bridge-builders, and role models, fostering a stronger sense of belonging within our university and beyond,” said Ms. Christie M. Esperon, head of the BukSU’s Presidental External Affairs and Public Relations.

The university conducted a selection process to identify the ambassadors, focusing on candidates who exhibit a blend of talent, academic performance, and commitment to the institution. According to Esperon, the students represent diverse academic disciplines and backgrounds.

The 10 ambassadors introduced include Cole Ampong (BS Development Communication), Al Tristan Cagatcagat (BS Hospitality Management), Sharmine Cardiente (BSHM), Julla Angela Daculiat (BS Nursing), Prayxis Krits Astin Egan (BSHM), Margalo Fernandez (BS Economics), Earl John Pagote (BSHM), Melquisedec Querol (BS Nursing), Jugg Manuel Ricare (BA in English Language), and Sheny Sampang (Bachelor of Secondary Education-English).

One of the ambassadors, Egan, shared that he joined the program to serve as a voice for students and to promote the university’s values and achievements.

Daculiat said being a student ambassador is one way for her to contribute to the growth and development of the university.

“I want to help strengthen our student community and promote initiatives that makes BukSU even better,” she said.

“I hope to inspire other students to lead with purpose and show that every student can make a positive impact [to the university],” said Ricare.

The Student Ambassador Program was first initiated in 2023 by university President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol during her first year in office. Initially, it started with three students: Miguel Navidad, Earl John Pagote, and Brian Bacus. The program aligns with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum No. 19, S. 2013, which emphasizes student development in leadership and social responsibility. (BukSU-Information Unit)
