BukSU Forges Partnership with DOE

On June 30, 2015, the Department of Energy (DOE) approved the accreditation of the University, making it one of the affiliated renewable energy centers (AREC) in the region. The establishment of BukSU-AREC was forged through a Memorandum of Agreement between BukSU and DOE.

Pursuant to the mandate of DOE to support renewable energy (RE) related initiatives in the country, BukSU-AREC undertakes the implementation of projects, such as, but not limited to, the Household Electrification Program (HEP), Barangay Electrification Program (BEP), and other renewable energy- related programs.
