MALAYBALAY CITY – The College of Technologies graduating students geared up to enhance their technical writing skills through a one-day writeshop at the Computer Laboratory on April 29, 2023.
The said workshop was conducted to prepare the students for their projects and research papers. It was divided into two sessions.
Dr. Zeny Maureal, Center head of Mathematics and Innovation, and Mr. Derren Gaylo, Center Head for Educational Analytics, emphasized the importance of a high-quality research and paper improvement through thought optimization.
Mr. Francis Harvey Barcos, one of the participants, said that the “writeshop” helped him understand the importance of keeping the relevant ideas.
“I learned that limiting the results and discussions to just ten pages will not get my readers easily bored,” he added.
The speakers have also shared their expertise about polishing the papers to clearly indicate the processes and methods used to make it more presentable and reliable.
At the end of the workshop, some students presented their output subject for improvement. The COT Dept vowed to continue supporting the students to enhance their skill set outside of a classroom setup. (Raul Lecaros/COT)
