MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) Two members of the Bukidnon State University Information Technology Faculty have completed a virtual workshop on Data Storytelling and Visualization from April 6 to 8, 2022 organized by a market research firm.
Mr. Raul Lecaros and Mr. Harold Carlter Cabiling have attended the workshop organized by the Strategic One Business Management Consultancy Firm (StratONE), which specializes on research, data science, and management through conducting a series of webinars, trainings, seminar, and conferences.
The workshop covered a few topics including an in-depth training on effective data storytelling, data presentation, and data visualization. It also covered the static and dynamic data visualization techniques including versions built on R-Studio.
“The workshop was very interactive because the hands-on exercises were demonstrated properly and the speakers had an extensive experience on the subject which made the course perfectly organized and easy to understand,” said Mr. Lecaros, who joined BukSU last semester. BukSU-ITD continues to join the community of private and public firms in developing the competencies of its own workforce by investing on workshops that will enhance the industry-level competency of its own instructors. The university is grateful for the partnership that these firms are offering and profoundly opens up the gate to joining more workshops and trainings in the future.
