Bendrey Nathaniel T. Delector, a senior kindergarten graduate of Bukidnon State University Elementary Laboratory School (BukSU ELS), has clinched a gold medal in the international HEAT Round of the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO), securing a coveted spot in an upcoming global mathematics final.
The victory officially qualified Delector for the HKIMO Final Round, which will be held in Hong Kong.
Delector, who just completed his early childhood education in May, personally represented BukSU-ELS in the international competition.
In a post, BukSU officials praised the young math wizard for demonstrating an exceptional level of logical reasoning and determination far beyond his years.
“Brendley personally represented the BukSU ELS in the international mathematics competition, bringing pride and honor to the school through his outstanding performance and excellence at a very young age… ELS is beyond proud of Bendrey’s achievement and wishes him the very best as he prepares for the Final Round. Your ELS family proudly stands behind you as you continue to inspire excellence and bring honor to BukSU and Bukidnon.”
The HKIMO is a highly competitive global platform designed to stimulate and foster young mathematical talent worldwide. The competition structure tests students across various areas, including logical thinking, arithmetic/algebra, number theory, geometry, and combinatorics.
The schedule for the upcoming HKIMO Final Round in Hong Kong has yet to be formally announced as of this date. (With information from BukSU-ELS)
