The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines Inc. (AACCUP) granted Level IV re-accreditation status to the BS in Business Administration major in Financial Management (BSBA-FM) and BS in Information Technology (BSIT) programs of Bukidnon State University (BukSU).
The accreditation for the two programs is valid from February 1, 2026, to January 31, 2031.
AACCUP Level IV accreditation is the highest status awarded to academic programs in Philippine higher education institutions, recognizing “institutionalized” excellence in instruction, research and extension.
BSBA-FM chair Dr. Cecile T. Janamjam said the re-accreditation affirms the program’s efforts in preparing business graduates for professional and global environments.
“The Level IV Re-Accreditation of the BSBA-FM program of Bukidnon State University reflects its sustained commitment to academic excellence while producing competent, ethical, and globally competitive business leaders. This milestone further strengthens BukSU’s mission of delivering transformative business education,” said Janamjam.
Dr. Sales G. Aribe Jr., chair of the BSIT program, said the accreditation status indicates the program’s continuing development and quality as an academic offering.
“The Level IV status reflects the maturity, sustainability, and quality of the BSIT program as an academic offering. It also serves as an inspiration for the university to continuously improve its programs and deliver education that responds to the needs of the industry and society,” said Aribe.
“The re-accreditation gives me confidence that the education I am receiving can provide better opportunities for employment, certifications and further studies since the program is recognized for its quality education,” said Senior BSIT student Zhandarra F. Sumbalan.
AACCUP is a non-profit organization that evaluates and accredits academic programs at state universities and colleges in the Philippines. It ensures quality education by verifying that institutions meet established standards, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability, and assigning accreditation levels (Candidate, Level I-IV) to programs.
