Bukidnon State University (BukSU) cemented its status as a premier higher education institution after hauling multiple national awards during the 39th Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Annual National Conference held at the Century Park Hotel, March 24–26, 2026.
University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol accepted the distinctions, which highlighted the institution’s rapid ascent in academic quality and governance.
Among the highlights of the awarding ceremony was the conferment of Level II Institutional Accreditation to BukSU Main Campus, reflecting the University’s status as a good and mature institution, and it is particularly significant as it marks BukSU’s first attempt at institutional accreditation.
The recognition stemmed from a comprehensive five-day accreditation visit conducted from March 31 to April 4, 2025, during which AACCUP accreditors evaluated the University’s overall operations based on national quality standards.
Simultaneously, the EduHub Campus (Casisang Annex) was granted Level I Institutional Accreditation, signaling its compliance with national benchmarks and its readiness for sustained quality growth.
Beyond institutional honors, BukSU dominated the program-level categories, outperforming numerous State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the archipelago:
A total of 30 academic programs across the Main Campus and Satellite Campuses (SCs) were granted Level I Accreditation, showing BukSU’s strong and expanding culture of quality across its academic units.
The recognitions received during the convention was a collective commitment, hard work, and collaboration of the entire BukSU community. (Astred Jill A. Catolpos/ Head, Presidential Technical Operations)
