
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region X Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) visited Bukidnon State University (BukSU) Lantapan campus on October 23, 2025, to conduct the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) evaluation for the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) program.
The evaluation was conducted by Mr. Daryl Glenn B. Pamplona, OIC-Chief Education Program Specialist, and Mr. Christopher M. Garcia Jr.
The COPC evaluation aimed to ensure that the BSTM program of BukSU Lantapan Campus meets CHED’s prescribed standards on curriculum, faculty qualifications, facilities, and institutional readiness to deliver quality higher education.
The BukSU administration was represented by Dr. Hazel Jean Abejuela, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who stood in for University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol.
She was accompanied by Director for Satellite Campuses Dr. Albert A. Villanca, Head of SC Administrative Service Dr. Wilfredo A. Martinez, Dean of the College of Business Dr. Nestor Y. Cipriano, and Department Head of Hospitality Management Dr. Annie Leah Roxann L. Emata.
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lantapan extended its support to the evaluation process. Hon. Mayor Ricky James D. Balansag, represented by Atty. Aina L. Tan, Municipal Administrator, reaffirmed the LGU’s continuing partnership with BukSU in promoting higher education opportunities in the municipality.
Campus Head Dr. Shella Amor C. Monsanto ensured that all documentary requirements, facilities, and instructional materials were presented and committed to finishing the work after the given recommendations.
Dr. Monsanto expressed, “There is still more work to be done as we implement the team’s recommendations, but together, we will overcome every challenge and continue to pray for the issuance of the COPC, hopefully at the soonest possible time.” (Dr. Shella Amor C.
