Continuing a cherished tradition, Bukidnon State University (BukSU) held the fourth year of its annual Pamahaw Ta BukSU, a breakfast-for-a-cause event on October 16, 2025, at the University Auditorium.
The fundraising event, spearheaded by the university’s Extension Services and Engagement Unit (ESCEU), is BukSU’s year-round commitment to community service.
This year, the entire BukSU community rallied to support a specific cause: all proceeds will be directed toward benefiting the Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and solo parents of Barangay Can-ayan, Malaybalay City.
While previous years of the Pamahaw Ta BukSU focused on indigenous children and senior citizens, the 4th season shifted its focus to two equally vulnerable groups in the adopted partner community.
In attendance were the university officials, faculty, staff, and students, with all proceeds generated through the shared breakfast now slated to fund essential packages, resources, and specific livelihood programs designed to uplift the lives of the beneficiaries in Barangay Can-ayan.
The Pamahaw Ta BukSU remains an important annual anchor for BukSU’s extension services and community engagement, reinforcing the institution’s legacy as a dedicated force for sustainable development and inclusive growth in Bukidnon and the region. (BukSU – Information Unit)
