
The College of Education – Secondary Education Department (COE SED) of Bukidnon State University (BUKSU) continued to strengthen its meaningful collaboration with the 4th Division Training School (4DTS) of the 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army through the extension project titled “Retooling the 4th Infantry Division Philippine Army Instructors in Functional Literacy, Teaching Pedagogies, and Research.”
This initiative was implemented during the second semester of Academic Year 2024–2025, with sessions held on April 2 and 17, and May 7 and 15, 2025, at the 4DTS located in Camp Osito D. Bahian, Impalambong, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
Over the 4 days, the training focused on the following key areas: Functional Communication: Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogy, Writing and Communication; Teaching Pedagogies: Teaching and Evaluation; and, Research: Concept of Research To the Field of Education, The Principles and Application of Research, Ensuring Validity and Trustworthiness, and Quantitative Design and Methods.

The four-day activity concluded with a short program and the awarding of certificates to the participants of the 4DTS, headed by COL Jerold H. Jale INF (GSC) PA, MAJ Nestor L. Sabud Jr. (INF) PA, and the entire 4DTS team for their support and collaboration.
