AACCUP Grants Level II Institutional Accreditation to BukSU Main Campus

This is BukSU’s first attempt at institutional accreditation, which evaluates the university's overall operations based on national quality benchmarks.

The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) has awarded Level II Institutional Accreditation to Bukidnon State University (BukSU) Main Campus following a five-day assessment conducted from March 31 to April 4, 2025.

The Casisang Annex Campus, known as the EduHub Campus, received Level I accreditation as part of the same evaluation.

This is BukSU’s first attempt at institutional accreditation, which evaluates the university’s overall operations based on national quality benchmarks. The evaluation covered nine areas: governance and management; teaching, learning, and evaluation; faculty and staff; research, extension, consultancy and linkages; support to students; library; infrastructure and other learning resources; and quality assurance culture.

The five-day visit involved document review, interviews with personnel and students, site inspections, and validation activities aimed to assess institutional developments and identify well-documented practices and areas that may require additional development.

“This milestone reflects the heart of BukSU—our shared commitment to excellence and continual improvement. Thank you to our Board of Regents, workforce, students, and partners for walking this journey with us,” said BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol.

BukSU Quality Assurance Unit Director Dr. Iris April L. Ramirez described the results as a product of collaboration among university personnel, alumni, students, and external partners.

“This recognition stands as a testament to BukSU’s unwavering commitment to providing quality education and fostering strong institutional partnerships—core to its adherence to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals,” Ramirez said.
