The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) is a government-owned and controlled corporation in the Philippines, functioning as the primary socioeconomic policy think tank for the Philippine government, established in 1977.
“The institute is known for its rigorous analyses of policy issues and has contributed to Philippine policy development through its collaborations with various government agencies, including Congress, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), the Department of Budget and Management, and the Department of Finance.”
The session was focused on the issues, challenges, and opportunities on the financial sustainability of higher education institutions in the Philippines. Representatives from various government agencies and private sectors across the country explored pressing concerns in sustaining financial health in the higher education sector.
“BukSU continues to support capacity-building initiatives that align with its commitment to quality education and institutional development,” QAO shared. (Joseph Gelacio, BukSU Program Chair Global Ranking; and Donnalyn Karla Caluya, BukSU Focal Person Global Ranking)
