“BukSU Kalilangan has committed to equipping students with the necessary skills as writers and future broadcasters; this training aimed to enhance students’ expertise in writing and radio broadcasting. The training brought together BukSU Information Unit (IU) experts to share their knowledge and experience,” Mr. Richard S. Sudario, BukSU Kalilangan Campus Head said.

Nova Thirdy E. Agravante, Rodrigo E. Bolivar II, and Dr. Joanna Ruth S. Paloma—all professionals in the field of broadcasting and radio scriptwriting were invited to train participants and share their knowledge.
The morning session focused on the fundamental aspects of radio broadcasting. Agravante guided participants through the details of scriptwriting for radio, highlighting techniques to craft compelling narratives. Bolivar followed with a discussion on radio program structure and audience engagement, emphasizing the importance of planning and connection with listeners. Meanwhile, Dr. Paloma provided the audience with insights on effective vocal delivery, stressing the ethical responsibilities of being a broadcaster.

In the afternoon session, students underwent hands-on workshops developing radio program templates and translating theoretical insights into practical output.
“The training strengthened students’ broadcasting skills and reinforced The Tanglaw Times’ mission to foster media excellence. By providing valuable industry insights and practical learning experiences, the publication continues to empower aspiring journalists and broadcasters, preparing them for the dynamic world of media,” Mr. Sudario expressed.
