The Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Unit (IPTTU) of Bukidnon State University facilitated a comprehensive mentorship series for faculty members and students of the College of Technologies.
The two-day mentorship series was focused on enhancing patent drafts with experts from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) and BukSU on February 18-19, 2025.
“The Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Unit recognized the need for more in-depth guidance following our 4th Patent Search and Drafting Writeshop,” said IPPTU Director Dr. Madelaine S. Dumandan. “While the previous workshop identified numerous technology potentials for utility models and patents, participants found the complex patent drafting requirements challenging, even with post-workshop mentorship.”
“This mentorship series aims to level up the participants’ skills in patent drafting,” Dumandan added.
The writeshop has invited experts from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) and BukSU, including Engr. Clark Darwin M. Gozon, Engr. Gladdy Christie H. Compasan, Dr. Manuel Chad G. Agurob, and Mr. Kierby B. Depalan. (BukSU-Information Unit)
