Students and personnel of Bukidnon State University can now receive news, announcements, and advisories via Short Message Service (SMS) following the launch of “BukSU Connect” by the Information and Communications Technology Unit (ICTU) in August.
“BukSU Connect” functions as a messaging platform for the Information Unit, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit (DRRM), and other offices to deliver important updates directly to students’ and personnel’s mobile inboxes.
Mobile numbers of students were collected during enrollment, while personnel’s contact details were gathered through online registration.
“Information dissemination for DRRM, news, and other important university announcements is crucial for fostering a safe and well-informed community,” said ICTU head, Mr. Donald P. Donasco.
“BukSU Connect brings the university closer to its goal of reaching a wider audience, especially those without easy access to social media,” Donasco added. (BukSU-Information Unit)
