
In an effort to promote environmental responsibility and campus cleanliness, students and personnel of Bukidnon State University came together for a university-wide Clean-Up Day on August 28, 2024.
The activity aligns with BukSU’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
By promoting cleaner surroundings, responsible waste management, and environmental stewardship, the university actively contributes to creating sustainable and resilient communities, mitigating the impacts of climate change, and protecting terrestrial ecosystems. The activity also highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts, showcasing the valuable role of partnerships in advancing sustainable development.
BukSU’s Environment, Health, and Safety Office (EHSO) said, “Clean-Up Day is not only about keeping our campus clean but also about our responsibility to the environment and our role in achieving the SDGs.” (BukSU-Information Unit)
