The International Relations Officers from the Commission on Higher Education-International Affairs Service (CHED-IAS) visited Bukidnon State University (BukSU) to learn about the university’s initiatives in promoting, preserving, and protecting the Indigenous Peoples’ communities of the province, on June 27, 2024.
Ms. Loreta Sol L. Dinlayan, Director of BukSU’s Bukidnon Studies Center (BSC), presented the center’s policies, functions, and services to the CHED-IAS delegation.
“BSC is the cultural study hub of Bukidnon State University,” Dinlayan explained. “It serves as a venue for socio-cultural activities, providing cultural experiences, learning materials, and other cultural presentations like exhibits and workshops for indigenous people and students.”
The delegation also toured the Bukidnon Studies Center Museum and the Botanical Gardens.
IAS is tasked with assisting CHED in implementing education-related matters involving other countries and international education organizations.
“As International Relations Officers, you are the bridge that connects our institutions to a world of opportunities in instruction, research, extension, and production.
