A Grade 12 student of Bukidnon State University-Secondary Laboratory School (SLS) bested other schools in Northern Mindanao after being named champion in the “Pagsulat ng Lathalain” category at the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) held in Cagayan de Oro City on May 2 to 4, 2024.
As a result, Althea Lorraine A. Bayoc will represent Region 10 at the upcoming National School Press Conference in Cebu City later this year.
Bayoc’s winning feature article tackled the impact of Artificial Intelligence on education.
Additionally, Grade 9 student Anya Corinne G. Saavedra clinched 4th place in the “Pagsulat ng Kolum” category in the RSPC.
Another regional qualifier from SLS was Grade 11 student Kheizer Vaughn D. Mamac, who competed in Editorial Writing.
