BukSU evaluates its 2023 performance

Bukidnon State University evaluated its performance in 2023 through a management review held on February 5, 2024, via a virtual meeting platform. The management review was attended by the top management and enjoined by heads of the satellite campuses, and office/unit heads in all its campuses.

With its vision to become a premier institution of innovative and ethical leaders for sustainable development, BukSU evaluated the standing of its management systems to take a look at the inputs and outputs of the core, support, and strategic functions for each office including the responses towards issues and concerns of the clients, and take a head-on for the future sustainability efforts in 2024.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs led by Vice President Dr. Hazel Jean M. Abejuela presented the accomplishment reports under SMART Education programs and services. Bukidnon State University generally continued its efficiency in instruction reflected through quality graduates pinning topnotch ranks for licensure examinations especially for BukSU Education curricula and BukSU Nursing curriculum.

The Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovations delivered the 2023 report through Vice President Dr. Carina Joane V. Barroso in achieving SMART RDE. During the year, the Office managed to go above its numbered targets in sending faculty and students to local, national, and international presentations and competitions with outstanding recognition in research and innovations, and faculty exchange programs. University extension programs and services increased its capacity development for target communities, and select programs received recognition by the national government and forged partnerships of organizations in building resiliency for communities.

The Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance with Vice President Mr. Dante S. Victoria led the presentation of the Office accomplishment report. VPAF took steps in elevating the sustainability efforts of the university realizing a SMART Campus which received an international recognition by the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings (UIGWUR) being the 1st in Northern Mindanao.

Vice President Dr. Lincoln Tan of the Office of the Vice President for Culture, Arts, Sports and Student Services formerly known as the Office of the Student Services focused in providing student welfare programs through regular extra-curricular activities and facilitating scholarship programs.

SMART BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol expressed happiness and extended her gratitude to the SMART Workforce in accomplishing the 2023 targets.

“I am very happy to see the accomplishment reports of our university. Thank you for your efforts and commitment to be in the service,” Mirasol said.
