MALAYBALAY CITY – Bukidnon State University formally launched the BukSU TV Pilot Studio held at the 2nd floor of the Administrative Building on July 20, 2023.
The Information Unit, headed by Mr. Walter I. Balane, facilitated the launching and blessing ceremony. Rev. Fr. Jonathan C. Tianero led the blessing rites. Dr. Hazel Jean M. Abejuela, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Ms. Rosanna S. Generato, Chief Administrative Officer, led the ribbon-cutting.
In her message Dr. Abejuela said it was good to have a physical structure for the university to disseminate timely and relevant information, as well as the achievements and projects of the university.
“It would serve as a mouthpiece to showcase what is best from the entire university,” she said.
Ms. Generato also said that the launching of the studio was “God’s perfect time” and that maximizing it would be ideal because it was not only for BukSU but for its external stakeholders.
Dr. Joy M. Mirasol, University President, visited the studio on July 21, 2023.
Mr. Balane said that the pilot studio was anchored on the SMART BukSU agenda of Dr. Mirasol to showcase its six dimensions on 1) Smart Governance 2) Smart Education 3) Smart Campus 4) Smart Research, Development, and Extension 5) Smart Workforce 6) Smart Students.
The studio was conceptualized during the pandemic under the administration of Dr. Oscar B. Cabañelez.
The BukSU TV Season 3 was also launched during the Blessing. In the third season, the production team is preparing for both thematic content as well as weekly news updates for multimedia production of relevant and timely updates for BukSU’s different stakeholders.
Mr. Balane said that the next steps for the Pilot Studio would be the drafting of its guidelines and policies for the whole BukSU Community.
He also extended his gratitude to the BukSU TV Production Team with Mr. Engelbert Cabunoc as the director. Ms. Christie M. Esperon, Head, Presidential External Affairs and Public Relations, Ms. Loreta Sol S. Dinalayan, Head of the Bukidnon Studies Center, Mr. Kent Tulod from OVPAA, and the DXBU team, attended the said event. (Information Unit)
