BukSU recognizes PNLE passers, topnotchers

MALAYBALAY CITY โ€“ Bukidnon State University recognized the 2023 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE) passers and topnotchers in a recognition and testimonial program held at the University Mini Theater on July 13, 2023.

The said event focused on the theme: “Ilahan hu Mapalimanan: Celebrating Exemplary Performance and Excellence. It served as a platform to honor the remarkable achievements of these exceptional individuals and celebrate the outstanding success of the passers and topnotchers.

The event started with a motorcade around the city. It was graced by the University Brass Band.

The College of Nursing – Student Body Organization organized the program, which brought together the successful examinees, university officials, and esteemed guests.

Dr. Ma. Algerica T. Cuenco. CON Dean, expressed her delight in witnessing the Registered Nursesโ€™ triumph in the challenging licensure examination, emphasizing the significance of their accomplishments to the university and the nursing profession as a whole.

Dr. Hazel Jean Abejuela, Vice President for Academic Affairs, also expressed her confidence in Batch Neriah’s ability to become outstanding nurses. She emphasized the importance of maintaining their commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.

She encouraged them to be SMART nurses who embraces every opportunity for personal and career development. She reminded them that their success would not only reflect their abilities but also the teachings and mentorship they received during their time at BukSU.

Dr. Carina Joane V. Barroso, former CON dean and now the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovations, also fondly recalled the dedication, resilience, and camaraderie displayed by Batch Neriah.

Dr. Barroso played a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding the students of Batch Neriah throughout their academic tenure. Now, in her current position as VPREI, she took the opportunity to reflect on the achievements of this remarkable batch, leaving an indelible mark on their nursing education.

Mr. Ryan Kenth Vallente, PNLE Top 6 with a 90.40% rating, emphasized his mantra โ€œPray, Study, Believe and Repeatโ€ in his message during the awarding ceremony.

Ms. Chesia Earl Basinillo, PNLE Top 7 with a 90.20% rating, also shared her gratitude towards her hardworking mother who gave her an utmost support. They both received a special accolade for their exceptional performance, setting an example for aspiring nurses and bringing honor to BukSU College of Nursing.

Apart from the topnotchers, the program highlighted the hard work and dedication of the other successful examinees who passed the PNLE.

The program symbolized their collective effort making BukSU CON number 1 top nursing school in the country.

The event also featured heartwarming testimonies from selected graduates namely: Angelica Baula, Kyla Joyce Yamit, John Lloyd Ortega and Franz Castro who shared their journeys, challenges, and triumphs throughout their nursing education. Their stories resonated with the audience, reinforcing the belief that hard work, determination, and passion are essential in achieving success in nursing.

The event also welcomed esteemed guests from the German Language Program, who brought forth exceptional job offer for the newly graduated Registered Nurses (RNs). Mr. Mathias Hallerbach, an Executive Consultant from C&C, presented a golden opportunity to them.

Denfol Devero, a distinguished graduate from the inaugural class of BukSU CON, graciously shared his insights and reflections on his journey of undertaking the Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination (PNLE) in a heartfelt video message.

Ms. Mariz Rochelle C. Sedon, former level 4 coordinator and now the Department Head of Research, Extension, and Innovations Management Staff, also shared her message highlighting the successes and struggles of batch Neriah during their time in nursing school.

In her closing remarks, Dr. Fatima C. Tanzo, Department Head of the College of Nursing, congratulated the Batch Neriah and commended the faculty and staff of BukSU CON for their unwavering effort and commitment to deliver quality nursing education.

The celebration of the 2023 PNLE passers and topnotchers at BukSU’s Mini Theater served as a testament to the university’s commitment to nurturing exceptional nursing professionals. By recognizing and honoring their achievements, BukSU reaffirms its dedication to producing graduates who excel academically and demonstrate qualities that make them compassionate, competent, and caring nurses.

As these exceptional individuals embark on their nursing careers, their success will undoubtedly inspire future generations of nursing students to strive for excellence and make a significant impact in the healthcare industry.
