MALAYBALAY CITY – The Committee on Presidential Lingkod Bayan and Civil Service Commission Pag-Asa Awards recognized the BukSU Share to Heal (S2Heal) Extensionists as National Semi-finalist (Group Category) in the 2022 Search for Outstanding Government Workers.
The Certificate of Recognition was conferred by CSC Region X in a ceremony on January 18, 2023 at the Office of the President.
The CSC Team was headed by Regional Director Grace R. Belgado-Saqueton and CSC Bukidnon Field Office Director Lourdes B. Pelaez. The BukSU PRAISE Committee was in attendance during the awarding ceremony.
Project Leader Dr. Joy M. Mirasol (Professor VI) and Lead Extensionists Joanne Vivien B. Necosia (Instructor I), Dr. Jiemalyn B. Paulican (Associate Professor I), Ana Ninfa B. Caballero (Assistant Professor III), and Retche P. Colegado (Instructor I) composed the team. The group was among 41 shortlisted nominees from all over the Philippines.
The extensionists were among the 16 Regional Winners recognized on September 21, 2022 by CSC Region 10. According to Director Saqueton, out of these winners, only 9 were submitted to the national office and only the BukSU S2Heal Team qualified as semi-finalists.
The CSC Pagasa Award is given to a person or group of five people for exceptional contributions which come from an idea or performance that directly assist more than one government department.
According to the CSC press release on October 19, 2022, the Commission received 408 nominations in total through its Regional and Field Offices, and 147 regional winners were selected from the regional screening. The Nationwide Honor Awards Program (HAP) Secretariat further examined the regional winners’ nominations, resulting in 105 national qualifiers. These were then evaluated by the National Committees on Awards, specifically the Committee on the Presidential or Lingkod Bayan and CSC Pagasa Awards and the Committee on the Dangal ng Bayan Award. The 41 semifinalists were selected from the national level screening. (Ms Joanne Vivien B. Necosia/OVPREI)
