
MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS/08 October 2021)- Bukidnon State University’s College of Law joined the Asian Law Students Association (ALSA) International Moot Court Competition (AIMCC) 2021 and ranked in the higher half of the 22 international participating teams.
The ALSA-AIMCC ended on September 5, 2021 with the BukSU team winning 8th place in the memorial and oral rounds. ALSA Vietnam virtually organized this year’s arbitral moot court competition, with the theme Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), partnered by Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and Ex Curia International.
Twenty-two teams from all over Asia participated in the three-day competition with the moot case on Investment Settlement Dispute in the field of international intellectual property law.
The event marked Bukidnon State University’s first participation in the said competition with the team consisted of Rica Zharian Guden Cabe, Rosa Misciel Bicoy Galvadores, Toni Rose Jamito Sualan, Jemika Kathryn Soledad Tecson, and team coach, Sheena Mariel Umala Dagawasan.
This competition provides the students with opportunities to develop their analytical thinking skills, to apply their skills in legal research, legal writing, and to expand their knowledge on international law issues. (College of Law)
