MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) The Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) is holding an online accreditation visit for two programs of Bukidnon State University from October 12-16, 2020.
The two programs, both from the College of Education and due for Level 4 Phase 1 revisit, are the Bachelor of Elementary Education and the Bachelor of Secondary Education.
For the first time in BukSU, the accreditation visit will be done via Zoom Cloud application.
AACCUP shifted to adapting online platforms to continue ensuring quality education in the state universities and colleges (SUCs) in the country to continue its evaluation and assessment functions.
The two programs will be assessed in the following areas: curriculum and instruction; support to students; research; extension and community involvement; physical plant and facilities; and laboratories.
The AACCUP survey team is composed of Dr. Christopher R. Vicera of Biliran Province State University, Dr. Levy S. Lepon of Cebu Technological University, Dr. Helen F. Delos Santos of Philippine Normal University, and Dr. Rosalinda G. Nones of Nueva Viscaya State University.
The opening program of the five-day online accreditation will be held by 9a.m. via Zoom with university president Dr. Oscar B. Cabańelez’ words of welcome. The AACCUP Accreditation Survey Team will then be introduced as well as the BukSU Local Task Force. Dr. Hazel Jean M. Abejuela, VPAA, will give the closing remarks.
The accreditation proper will then proceed with the virtual survey and review of documents stored via BukSU Cloud, to be facilitated by the Quality Assurance Office in cooperation with the task forces of the two programs subjected to accreditation.
The exit conference and closing program are set to be held on Friday, October 16, 2020. (OP-IPS)
