MALAYBALAY CITY (IPS) Bukidnon State University welcomes today Dr. Ahmar Mahboob, an Associate Professor at the Department of Linguistics of the University of Sydney as part of an international lecture series on January 27 to 28, 2020.
Dr. Mahboob, who earned his PhD from Indiana University, was cited in 2019 by The Australian’s Research magazine as Australia’s Research Field Leader in English Language and Literature.
According to information from the BukSU International Affairs Unit, Dr. Mahboob’s primary research interest is on examination of policies, practices and implications of language variation in local and global contexts.

Hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences Language and Letters Department, Dr. Mahboob’s lecture will be held in the BukSU Auditorium. (IPS)
