The College implements the ASAM ( Advisorship Summative Adopt an area/room Mentoring) initiative. This initiative aims to refine the performance of students in all academic subjects, exposing to activities and internship as real professionals, honing their selves to good values and ethics to achieved holistic development. Upskilling mentors and coaches to meet the needed competencies of the new generation of learners, and future teachers. Exposing pre-service teachers to the best experiences to adjust and develop innovations. Moreover, helping then transcend learnings to real life.

The college continues its mission to accelerate teacher education program through the practice Optimizing Networks for Teacher Development (ONeTED). This initiative promotes convergence and collaboration with other agencies in fulfilling missions, targets and plans have gained greater ground in higher education institutions. COE has optimized the partnership with different agencies by making it work, cultivating relationships, and sustaining the gains by weaving them into the organizational fabric.
Note: The College of Education was recognized as finalist for the two entries (ONeTED and ASAM) during the Government Best Practice Recognition 2020.

The College maintains a standards-based curriculum development through the consistent conduct of periodic curriculum quality review.

The College continues to enhance and strengthen its inter country student mobility by establishing more linkages with schools abroad. COE, through the Student Internship Abroad program, has been sending Pre-service teachers to different partner schools in Thailand for their international clinical experience.

COE’s membership to the 3Ns Normalite Program promoted national student mobility of Pre-Service Teaching interns with novel clinical experiences in different normal schools in the country. BukSU has sent more than 30 student interns and has hosted stude nt interns from different state universities for this project.

The College strengthens its strong partnership with the parents through an established Parent-Teacher Association, which assists the college in the conduct of its Licensure Examination for Teacher Enhancement Programs and Activities.
