P. D. 944 converted BNC into a chartered state college – the Bukidnon State College. This gave BSC the authority to offer other courses aside from education or teaching courses.
The Teacher Education Program was accredited Level 1 status by the Accrediting Agency of chartered College and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc.
The School of Education was accredited Level II status.
The School of Education passed the First resurvey for Level II status.
The School of Education implemented the Revised Teacher Education Curricula based on CHED Memorandum No. 30. Pre-School Education was then opened as a major in the elementary education program. The Certificate of Teaching was also offered as an option for graduates who earned baccalaureate degrees in programs other than education.
The School was renamed College of Teacher Education upon the conversion of Bukidnon State College to Bukidnon State University.
The School was once again renamed College of Education.
Due to vertical articulation of programs in the university, Graduate programs offered in the Graduate School are distributed to the colleges it belongs. The College of Education extends its scope to the Graduate Teacher Education programs.
