Department Objectives
The Philosophy Department is a newly created unit in 2020 under the supervision of the College of Arts and Sciences. It is an academic unit that adheres to the academic policies under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Department nurtures the Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy program first offered by the University in 2010. The program has produced graduates since 2014.
CAS GOAL 1: In providing opportunities for the students to develop their ingenuity and innovativeness in creating new knowledge relevant in the arts and sciences.
CAS GOAL 2: Develop logical reasoning and judicious decisions necessary in the advancement of dynamic thinkers

The department monitors and evaluates the performance of faculty and students. Regular class observations (online or offline) will be done. Students are likewise evaluated as to their actual class performance using prescribed evaluation and grading system.
The department will provide reports as required or requested by the administration or by interested parties taking into consideration data privacy requirements.
