The BS HRM program was designed to be industry based, well- structured and flexible, in order to match industry needs of the different sectors in the Hospitality Industry and to make qualifications relevant and useful to both students and industry. Its primary concentration is in the development of practical and management skills which are achieved through the combination of theoretical classes, experiential learning, and on-the-job-training both local and international.
Graduates of this course will possess the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to demonstrate competence against prescribed and endorsed Industry Competency Standards. Students will also acquire an international perspective in order to live and work effectively in an increasingly global society.
Moreover, the program intends to instill scholarly appreciation of local, national and international government processes and systems to increase understanding in improved delivery of government services. The program also seeks inculcate and develop among students the values of integrity, discipline, self-reliance, industry and excellence. The program expects students to become dynamic and responsible citizens that can contribute to the development their community and country.
