The Accountancy program is designed to produce graduates who are professionally competent to assume responsible practice of Public Accounting and to render accounting, management, auditing, and tax advisory services. It also aims to prepare graduate to assume key positions in the accounting and administrative departments of private and public firms, and finally to equip the graduates with the latest knowledge and techniques in accounting to keep abreast with the needs of business and industry.
Demonstrate innovative leadership competencies by applying innovative thinking to synthesize financial and other accounting information in preparing financial statements that fairly reflect economic events.
Demonstrate intercultural competence to sustain Bukidnon cultural heritage by engaging in the conservation, preservation and safeguarding of Bukidnon cultural heritage and other civic, social, environmental and economic issues.
Resolve business issues and problems, with a global and strategic perspective using knowledge and technical proficiency in the areas of financial accounting and reporting, cost accounting and management, accounting and control, taxation, and accounting information systems;
Conduct accountancy research through independent studies of relevant literature and appropriate use of accounting theory and methodologies;
Employ technology as a business tool in capturing financial and non-financial information, generating reports and making decisions;
Apply knowledge and skills to successfully respond to various types of assessments, and (including professional licensure and certifications); and
Confidently maintain a commitment good corporate citizenship, social responsibility and ethical practice in performing functions as an accountant.
