CAS GEC Department stirs ‘Lemonade’ wellness program

MALAYBALAY CITY (OP-IPS) The General Education Courses Department of the College of Arts and Sciences initiated a faculty wellness program with the theme “When life gives you LEMON, make a lemonade – A LEMONADE Party” on August 24, 2021.
The activity aims to keep the wellness of the faculty in the department amidst the pandemic. A lemon is symbolically presented as a sign of huge benefits aside from being a food, it is an infection prevention and as a natural major remedy.
The event was fully-participated by the department’s __ members who joined in shades of yellow get up. The activity included a levelling-off expectation and sharing of issues.
A select group also served light food as the program started. Ms. Keah Chamen, another faculty member facilitated the structured learning activity.
The participants proceeded to posting ad sharing of written quotes from lemon styled paper cut-outs. Each participant was also asked to pick a a quote posted by other participants to complement one’s personal quote.
Ms. Francesca Ysabel L. Cadeliña, another GEC faculty, shared an inspirational message following the concepts of group processing and complementing the concerns raised. The group then sang After Image’s “Tag-Ulan” just before a prayer to cap the event. (Allan Bariñan, General Education Department)
