CSDT provides knowledge and competencies for students in social development and technology to transform them into dedicated professionals who shall become catalysts of change in the society empowering themselves and other people to self-reliant and productive.

Goals

  1. Develop and deliver relevant and quality educational and training programs.
  2. Enhance educational support services and resources.
  3. Establish jointly with other colleges the use of resources and encourage collaborative activities in instruction, research, extension and production
  4. Promote professional excellence of the academic staff through alliances with universities, business, industry, and professional and governmental groups to meet the changing workforce requirements

Community Education (Development Communication and Community Development)

  1. Acquire knowledge and competencies in Development Communication and Community Development.
  2. Develop career competencies in Development Communication and Community Development.
  3. Provide authentic, inquiry-based, engaging, and increasingly complex activities that require the construction of knowledge and development of critical skills with which to participate effectively both as an individual and as a member of various groups, as well as at classroom, school, community, local, tribal, and national levels
  4. Model and nurture respect for diverse individuals, groups, cultures, and ideas; foster a lifelong active commitment to democratic principles; and empower participation and social activism in civic life.

Goal 1:  Acquire knowledge and competencies in Development Communication and Community Development

Objectives:

  1. Understand the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of the Development Communication and Community Development and apply them in their learning experiences that make these aspects of subject matter meaningful.
  2. Use an understanding of individual and group motivation and behaviour that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self-motivation

Goal 2:  Develop career competencies in Development Communication and Community Development

Objectives:

  1. Become self-directed learners
  2. Recognize the diverse forces that shape their world and themselves in order to keep pace with the changing society
  3. Identify themselves – their abilities, interest, and personalities so they can become efficient and effective professionals

Goal 3:  Provide authentic, inquiry-based, engaging, and increasingly complex activities that require the construction of knowledge and development of critical skill with which to participate effectively both as an individual and as a member of various groups, as well as at classroom, school, community, local, tribal, and national levels.

Objectives:

  1. Use critical thinking and problem solving skills
  2. Participate in various groups using the skills in communication, negotiation and collaboration

Goal 4: Model and nurture respect for diverse individuals, groups, cultures, and ideas; foster a lifelong active commitment to democratic principles; and empower participation and social activism in civic life.

Automotive Technology, Electronics Technology and Food Technology

  1. Acquire knowledge competencies in Food technology, Electronics Technology and Automotive Technology
  2. Develop career competencies in Food Technology, Electronics Technology and Automotive Technology
  3. Develop technical problem-solving skills related to materials and processes
  4. Develop attitudes and abilities in the proper use f tools, techniques and resources of technical and industrial systems
  5. Apply scientific principles and technological systems in the solution of everyday problems

Goal 1:  Acquire knowledge and competencies in Automotive Technology, Electronics Technology and Food Technology

Objective:

  1. Understand the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of the automotive technology, Electronics Technology and Food Technology disciplines and apply them in their learning experiences that make these aspects of subject matter meaningful.

  1. To develop mechanical intelligence through experience where fairly high level of skill in the use of various tools and materials are the chief emphasis

Goal 4:  To develop attitudes and abilities the proper use of tools, techniques and resources of technical and industrial systems

Objectives:

  1. Use of a variety of tools and construction materials in a workman like manner;
  2. Develop the ability to read and make working drawings, charts and graphs;
  3. Develop the ability to maintain and service the common products of industry in a safe and efficient manner.

Goals 5: Apply scientific principles and technological systems in the solution of everyday problems

Objective:

  1. Develop critical thinking related to industry and industrial materials.

Goals 6: Troubleshoot and repair technological systems and device

Objective:

  1. Develop the skills of diagnosing and repairing parts into good condition.
