MALAYBALAY CITY (03 September 2020) Brigadier General Royland Orquia of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, an alumnus of then Bukidnon State College, is the keynote speaker of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) virtual 18th Completion Ceremonies on September 7, 2020.
General Orquia was a former Citizen Army Training (CAT) Officer during his high school in Bukidnon State College and an ROTC Officer in his college days. He pursued his ardent desire to serve as an active army officer. His last assignment prior to his promotion was at 403rd Brigade at Camp Osito Bahian, Impalambong, Malaybalay City.
A resident of Malaybalay City, Gen. Orquia finished his Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies and Master’s in Public Administration in Bukidnon State University.
The theme of the ceremony is: “Transforming Millennials for Nation Building”
A total of 2, 833 BukSU students completed NSTP’s three components this year: 1,964 for the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS); 312 for the Literacy Training Service (LTS); and 557 for the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC).
The graduation rites were recorded earlier and will be set for webcast at the BukSU official website, www.buksu.edu.ph and the university’s official Facebook account BUKSU Bukidnon State University at 9a.m. Monday.
