The doctoral degree program leading to Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) includes a broad curriculum, encompassing a departmental core of courses, an area of concentration and related courses. It is a program designed to achieve distinction as a leader in public affairs, policy, administration, education and research. It provides an appreciation for the broad range of issues- economic, institutional, normative and political that surrounds contemporary public affairs, policy and administration.  It equips students with the research skills that are needed to conduct original investigations and analyses on the enduring questions of public affairs, policy and administration. The program includes course work and dissertation at a reasonable time frame.

The DPA program is designed to educate professionals who can generate, share and consume knowledge effectively in both academic and practitioner settings with emphasis on theory, analysis evaluation, and practice of public administration, affairs and policy.
